2020-2021 Registration Instructions (New or Returning Students)

Families new to the Newton Community School District, or returning after being enrolled in another district, will need to come to the District Office to complete the registration process.  Our District Office is located at the EJH Beard Administration Center - 1302 First Avenue West, Newton, Iowa.

This process includes filling out the online registration form and providing the following documentation:

  1. Birth Certificate for each student being enrolled
  2. Proof of residency (utility bill, mortgage, lease or rental agreement)
  3. Immunization records for each student being enrolled
  4. Photo ID for parent/guardian registering student(s)

Since our district is currently closed to the public, due to COVID-19, please contact Melinda Worthington, District Registrar, about registering new students.  She will take student and family information and add it to a database of new families.  As soon as our offices are able to open, we will contact families to set up an appointment to register.
